Anaphylaxis or Anaphylactic Shock
I have been sick. Only this time it's from a chemical that was sprayed into my apartment a/c ducts.
I have to get the full name and ingredients so I'm aware of this , lest it should happen again.
The maintenance guys did not know and I did not know that I was allergic to these chemicals !
I had anaphylactic shock this past Tuesday, August 27th 2013.
I did'nt get all the symptoms at the same time. Right away, I had a peculiar feeling in my mouth, and all around my lips and tip of tongue felt fuzzy. My eyes were watery and my ears and nose were stuffed up. The coughing began, but I felt better when I was outside.
I had a doctor appointment that afternoon. In the afternoon, the eyes were extremely watery. More coughing....shortness of breath whenever I talked awhile or walked from one room to another.
At 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, my temperature went down to 96* ! My whole body felt so cold. I felt sick, and had an unusual feeling. I said prayers.
The maintenance knows about this now, as I had a meeting with the maintenance manager.
I am just beginning to feel a bit better today. It's early. I'm coughing but not hard. My nose is still blocked and one ear is blocked. Not feeling very perky at this time.
I went to bed at 11:30p.m. and woke up at 3:00a.m. today like I had two pots of coffee or something.
I stayed in bed to rest my body and finally got up at 4:15 a.m. today.

Toxic Black Mold Can Make Us Seriously Sick
This is frightening for me to read, because this is what was found in my air-conditioning vent and the duct , over the bedroom door of my apartment building.
I sure do not need anymore illness. The guys said it was all cleaned out, but they are not 'professional mold removers.' The maintenance guys work around in my apartment building. They did'nt even have proper protective masks or clothing on.
I love my apartment and it's been like coming home, as I lived here before, but in a different apartment and had no trouble with mold or mold odors....I certainly do not want to have to move from here !

Mold !
I have lived back here at my former apartment building since June 26th 2013.
Ever since, as I walked into my bedroom and back out again, I smelled this moldy smell.
I reported it to management and they got right on it, but have not done away with all the mold, as it's in the ducts and most likely our whole building ! The vent over my bedroom door was covered in black mold on the inside. Yuck ! This was/is very dangerous.
Not only that, I took a picture of the gapping hole while the vent was off.
Ever since, as I walked into my bedroom and back out again, I smelled this moldy smell.

The vent and the crud from the duct has been cleaned as of today ! But the mold is still there and in my other two a/c ducts, also! Currently, I'm trying to push the management into getting this serious health issue taken care of !
The company bought a new shop vac with a HEPA filter and also sprayed a type of mold cleaner into the duct, which has made me very sick with a lung disease named chemical pneumonitis.
I don't know how often this will need to be done, and I hope the management company will get on this before someone else 'dies' and is blamed on a pneumonia or heart attack cause of death.
Really it most likely was the mold in our a/c ducts ! They have never been maintained properly as far as anyone knows.
Internet Browsing, Starts My Day
That is, after I have all the important things done, which one does when they get out of bed after a night's sleep.
After that, checked and answered my emails from two accounts.
Then I ate breakfast and got my written grocery list to take with me to Publix , our neighborhood grocery store here in St Petersburg,
I got my stuff, talked with friends who were there , and went to the customer service desk to get my lotto winnings. Smile. It was only three out of the six numbers I had, but this is the very first time I have ever won anything from the Florida Lotto ! I got five dollars for those numbers, and put it right back into another ticket, hopefully a winner this Saturday.
I checked out and paid for my groceries, and scooted on home.
Now I will make lunch and get around for the maintenance guys from my building to arrive to do some work in my apartment.

Klondike No Sugar Added Ice Cream Bars
However, if I keep this up I will be doing just that ! My goal is to eat one every other day. Then taper down to a Wednesday and a Saturday.
I have one left in the freezer. Hmmm, I have Edy's Ice Cream in there too, so this week I will see if I can bypass the Klondike bars in the grocery store ! Smile.

Tramatic Situation With Accidents
Okay. I drove Scoot over to the doctor's office and got my injection of Methotrexate. That will last for a week.
Then I drove on back home but did'nt stop , as I needed some food items from the local neighborhood www.publix.com store.
I am at home relaxing and now will update what has happened in the past few months.
I had yet another skin cancer surgery. That one had grown sideways into my forehead !
This took place in February, 2013. I have a large scar there, but the doc got it all out after two times with the scalpel.
A long time relationship had been dwindling, and in June of this year , ended as we knew it. It took a long time for me to realize that he and I are not good in a relationship for each other.
It's tramatic, but we remain just friends, and email and call often, and we both still care. He is the one I had the fun date with, on Monday that I wrote about earlier.
Next, as I was packing and getting ready for yet another move on June 26th, 2013, my back decided to go into some serious painful spasms. I'm all moved and I have alot of those plastic bins/totes to unpack. They can wait though...
June 30th, 2013 as I was reaching up to open a kitchen cupboard, the top of my left hand hit the sharp edge of the counter corner and gashed it wide open. I had to go to the E.R.
This has a layer of Mepitel One over the wound and then a protective soft gauze pad, then a regular gauze pad is laid over top of that. Finally it is all bandaged, and is changed every other day now. A Saline wash solution is used to clean around it.
I could not have stitches, as my skin is paper thin and tears easy. Even a bandaid will tear my skin off. It has been just about two months now and the scab formed and is now dropping off, leaving a jagged scar, but is healing nicely !
Next, was something that happened on July 16th, 2013. I fell on the floor. There was nothing to grab ahold of , so my whole body fell to the floor, boom ! My head actually bounced it slammed into the floor, my back and hips and knees and wrists and neck. They all got the brunt of it. Today is August 21st 2013, and the big bone that broke ( coccyx ) and more smaller bones in my neck and shoulders and bottom area are less painful than in the beginning.
I am healing properly but cannot turn certain ways, or make quick movements. I need to be careful everywhere I sit, and no sitting for long periods of time.
I'm thankful for each day that I can get out of bed carefully, and function well enough to take care of myself without the aid of a home health care company. They were here for awhile for the gashed hand, but I got along without them when I fell.

I'm sitting here in my pajamas , browsing around the net and getting all arranged in my mind the schedule I need to remember for today.
I'm still getting that chemo injection for rheumatoid arthritis, but I'm not so afraid of it as I used to be. The dosage amount even had to be raised, as I was beginning to not be able to walk normally.
One knee is bad, but the left one is worse, which is , as the xrays showed, half gone.
I actually look forward to Wednesdays now, because I know the injection is going to help cut down the severe inflammation and ultimately, the pain and function ability.
The day before the injection is due, the previous week's has worn off. Yay ! I have no chemo brain, lol. My thinking is so clear and alert, and I'm the normal me again !
I must sign off and go shower, and make breakfast, then ride my scooter over to the doctor's office where my nurse will give me the injection.

Albert Whitted Airport Hangar Top Flight Restaurant
I went out to a late lunch yesterday with a friend who called me spontanously and asked if I'd like to go get something to eat.
We decided on The Hangar out at Albert Whitted Airport. The restaurant is on the second level, and there is an outside deck, awesome !
We talked and sipped on our beverages, he had his white wine and I had my Sprite Zero. We watched the storms trying to roll in but as it turns out, came later.
There were a few planes flying around but not many.
Our food order arrived, via the friendly waiter and my burger was made to order perfectly !
I'm picky when it comes to eating a burger. The Hangar did an exceptional job. The whole place , including the rest rooms were really very clean, cleaner than any place I have eaten at !
Our lunch date was over and he took me home, then he went out to his home on Treasure Island.
It was nice, spontanous and fun .
We decided on The Hangar out at Albert Whitted Airport. The restaurant is on the second level, and there is an outside deck, awesome !

Writing the Rambles
It feels strange coming back to blogging, but I had a urgent light bulb go on and it seems I should get some of the rambles in my head and mind out and into some words.
I am writing once again and I hope I can just spontaniously blog without thinking too hard. :)
